Polymeric Tubing

VICI Jour offers a range of polymeric tubing ideal for low- to mid-pressure applications and high-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). These products are biocompatible and offer reliable performance properties.

  • ETFE – Ethylene tetrafluoroethylene (ETFE) tubing is particularly suitable for HPLC. It offers a higher burst pressure than PTFE. 1/16” OD x 0.25 mm ID tubing withstands up to 186 bar (2,700 psi) with water as the mobile phase.
  • FEP – Fluorinated ethylene (FEP) is chemically inert to most HPLC solvents, and is especially recommended for ion chromatography applications.
  • PFA – Perfluoroalkoxy (PFA) tubing has excellent chemical stability and mechanical strength. Use it in place of PTFE tubing if gas permeability is an issue.
  • PP – Polypropylene (PP) tubing is particularly suitable for liquid handling in biomedical applications that use aqueous solutions.
  • PTFE – Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) is chemically inert and suitable for lower pressure applications. Available in natural and color-coded versions.
  • Impermeable tubing – FEP coated with polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) combines the chemical resistance of FEP with the tight, impermeable structure of PVDF, ensuring that degassed solvents are preserved.
  • Thermo-formed tubing – VICI Jour tubing can be thermo-formed into a variety of geometric shapes to meet your specifications.

Statement of Compliance:All polymers used in the manufacture of VICI Jour tubing are EU CIRS-REACH compliant. Additionally all colorants used comply with RoHS(Restriction of Hazardous Substances)

When selecting tubing for low-pressure applications, give careful consideration to gas permeability characteristics.
